Sitting in traffic yesterday I noticed a service sticker in the corner of my windshield. I figured, what the hell, lets see what they know, so I called them up. I asked if I gave them a VIN if they could give me a vehicle history. Initially she said no, and I explained how I found their number and she said she could try seeing what comes up. Timing belt!!!! they had done the timing belt at 125k miles. The Internets say everything from 80k-105k so I have anywhere from 25k - 50k left on the belt. This makes me slightly happier but holy shit buddy you went 125k on 1 belt?!? I also found out that they did the clutch, flywheel, slave cylinder at 130,000. I think the clutch does slip under hard acceleration. When I get up to 3-4k rpm i’ll hear some weird squeaking noise and acceleration is reduced.

I’m having a huge issue sitting still today. Not really in the office mood. Here is a place i’d much rather be, the side of Mt Washington.

If the 2.7tt is anything like its underlying 2.8 cousin, there's a 3700RPM cam shift, a la VTEC. Could be acting up somehow...also, you're not using ATE Super Blue brake fluid, are you? That can cause clutch squeals, fyi.

I’ve got some stickers inder the hood saying that some emissions recall work was done but otherwise I have no clue what kind of life my car’s had.

Pretty cool - I had a sticker left in a used car I bought once and it never occurred to me to check it. Do you know when they started servicing it? Maybe the PO was extra cautious and tried for 60k so the 125k belt was actually the second change?

i dont, I told them not to bother giving me oil changes and such. they said the two items I listed along with a wheel bearing were the only larger service entries.
